The Florida Ballet Training Center is a program for the dedicated student intent on a career in Dance. Entrance into the program is by audition. The minimum age is 8 years old. The curriculum features a syllabus of ballet technique classes, beginning with twice a week for the elementary level, gradually increasing to the daily study of the advanced level. Specialized classes focus on the athletic aspect for boys ... pointe work for girls.. Modern...Pilates.. pas de deux. The focus on the individual trainee produces a dancer who is confident and polished - one who is ready to pursue his or her goals in the professional world or at a university dance department. Auditions for applicants to The Florida Ballet Training Center are held on an individual basis. Call Tiffany Way at 353-7518 to set an audition appointment. Allow approximately 1 hour for your audition and interview. All classes have reached maximum enrollment for the 2007-2008 school year.  We have a waiting list for some levels.  For students who wish to apply for the 2008-2009 school year - we strongly suggest calling to set an audition appointment early in August of 2008.  OPEN CLASSES We regret to announce that we have discontinued open classes.  Our schedule for the Training Center program has filled all studio space and faculty availability.    SUMMER INTENSIVE 2008 Begins June 23rd Musical Theatre Classes -  The Florida Ballet is pleased to welcome back one of our own - James Kinney.  James has been seen on Broadway and on National tours of Cabaret, Sweet Charity, Oklahoma, and others both as a dancer and as dance captain.  He has also appeared in movies and on television. James will be teaching Musical Theatre classes for the Levels 3B and above during the 1st week of Summer Intensive.  As a master teacher in Fosse choreography, he will also set a piece to be seen on the Summer Scorchers program at the Florida Theatre on August 2nd.
